The RoundTable "Staying in Belgium After the PhD or PostDoc" aims to address the critical considerations for international researchers contemplating their future in Belgium. With expert insights from Amira Sadek, a distinguished lawyer specializing in immigration law, and Jeroen Maes, director of the Brussels Economy & Employment of the Brussels' Region, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal, economic, and employment landscape specific to non-Belgian researchers who have recently completed a PhD or PostDoc. Topics will include visa regulations, work permits, residency options, and career opportunities within the Brussels region. This session will provide valuable guidance for PhD graduates and PostDocs planning to extend their professional journey in Belgium.
